In Florida Governor Wilson is opposed by Representative Oscar Un derwood. Both Governor Harmon and Speaker Clark had friends and supporters in the state, but they de cided not to run lu the primary con test, and when they withdrew the influence ot all their supporters was thrown to Mr. Underwood. The fight of the allies In. Florida was centered on Mr. Underwood for the reason that a large part of Alabama Is con tiguous to Florida, and it was thought that lu would make the stronger race there. It was agreed that Mr. Underwood could make a better fight than either Governor Harmon or Speaker Clark against Governor Wilson In that state be cause of the fact that appeal could be made to the neighboring mental feeling.
