BUICK '34' FIRST OVER SISKIYOUS B. & C STORE SOLO TO Marvelous Feat Performed by Littlo RoadsterCarries Four Passen gers and 150 Pounds of Baggage. Automobile records wore shattered Friday, March 1, for the Rogno river valley, when a littlo Uuiok i('M" roadster, 22 1-2 h. p., eroded the Siskiyou mountains carrying fo.ir passengers and -50 pounds of bag gage. The car loft horc at 10 a. hi. and at 0 p. iu. was at Yreka, Cal. The feat is considered a marvelous one nt this season of the year. Nev er beforo has a car passed over this range until much later in the season. The enr was driven by Mrs. W. L. Noell, who whs accompanied by Mr. aocII, a fnend and Roy Hodson, a mechanician. Over the telephone today Hudson told of the difficulties of the trip. The road, at beat, a hard one, was a foot deep in slush nnd snow at the summit. Yet the sturdy little ear bucked into it iu a splendid maimer. The trip was arranged by George Kramer, manager of the Hear Creek Motor Car company of this city, which hns the agency for the Huicks. The record will probably stand for some time. A reception was Undored to Ma dam Sehmaaun-IIeiuk at the Holland hotel from 11 until 12 o'clock today by the ladies of the Grantor Medford club.
