May Hrown a former associate, alo identified photograph. A record of the ease of Ktlward Alexander, who in August, 1001, was found dead in the Knight hout-c, and wlioe autopsy showed traces of morphine poisoning-, was also sent to Denver. May Cupples, an inmate of the resort, was indicted at tho time on a charge of assisting Alexander's suicide, but was acquitted. It is expected that tho distributive areas of Seattle, Tacoma and Port land will bo broadened considerably as a result of tho decision, provided It becomes effective. Family Asphyxiated. SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 24 Mrs. L. R. Ware, formerly of San Mateo, Cal., and her two boys, 5 and 7 years old, were found dead from asphyxiation in their home here to day. Mrs. Ware's husband is said to be traveling in Europe. Faulty plumb ing is believed to be responsible. Attack Girl's Character. LINCOLN CENTER, Kan., Nov. 21 Attacking-the character of Miss Mary Chamberlain is the method by which A. N. Simms, John Schmidt mid Sherriff Clark expect to justify their action in tarring and feathering her, at their trial hore today. The trial was resumed with Simms on tho stand. Schmidt and Clark aro expected to follow. Miss Chamberlain appeared in the court room today pale and nervous as a reaction from the ordeal of yes terday, through which sho bore in without a sign of agitation while tell ing her story of the tarring outrage.
