Tho new department will Include nil audi work as tho farmors' Insti tutes, domestic science demonstra tion meetings, Itlnornto schools, de monstration train, correspondence courses, extension lectures, tho or ganization of juvenile clubs, and HKo educational work. Every district of tho state will be served through this medium. Doth tho number and tho scope of tho farmers Institutes will be greatly increased under this now plan. Traveling schools with labora tory and staffs of from flvo to twelve experts will bo sent to hold regular sessions pt a week or more in dif ferent sections of tho state. Corre spondence courses nnd study clubs will supplement tho instruction of these schools, and practical applica tion of tho methods taught will be made on the farms, ranches and or chards of tho students of such courses. Bulletins giving in popular language the valuable practicable in formation will also bo distributed by tho oxtcnslon division. An Informa tion bureau will bo conducted in the same connection to relievo tho var ious departments (from tho over whelming flood of letters of Inquiry, 88,000 of which wero received last year. IC Ilanna, Jr., has re turned with tho remains from San Francisco. Mrs. Ilanna was born In Crunan, Germany, April 15, 1849, and. died at San Francisco last Tuesday.
