NIK OF PLANS FOR NEW BRIDGE lusiness Men and Officials Meet In Conference But Do Not Come to Any Decision Meet In Jackson . vllle Soon. A number of business men met villi members of the county court mid tlio oh)' council in tho offico of the nmyor Friday lu'tcrnoon and Satur day morning and discussed the. mutter of the now bridge to be constructed over Bear creek in detail. It Avns decided that the city council snouitf meet wuii tno countv court Wednesday or Thursday and there come to some understanding in regard to tho bridge. Some time ngo the county and city called for bids for tho construction of tho bridge over tho creek but ns tho bid received was too high, in the estimation of the county court, for tho work on which an estimate of $30,000 had been placed, the bid be ing $35,000 the bid was rejected. To call for new bids would have been the proper way in which to proceed but it was feared that this would delay tho acutal construction of the bridge until too late to complete it this sea son. For tho purpose of arriving at smo determination in the matter in terested property owners and mem bcrs of tho council nnd court met Friday. Nothing was determined and will not be until the men meet next Wednesday or Thursday at Jackson ville.
