Little hope is held out for her recovery- CENTRAL POINT WALLOPED BY ELECTRIC AGGREGATION In a game of baseball that takes ono back to the timo of the hard rub ber ball and tho home-made bat, the Electrics walloped tho Central Point aggregation to the tune of 16 to 12. Tho slugging started in the first frame, when each team pushed three runs over the pan and continued throughout tho game. Although ev erybody hit the cork center hard. It belonged to Captain Ebel. President Russell of the Boston National leaguo club today has a letter from Catcher John Kllng, principal figure In tho deal for players between Chicago and Boston, saying ho will not play with the Dovcb but will retlro from tho gnme. Kllng's stand, coupled with the announcement of Vice-President Pago of tho Boston club that ho would tako legal steps to block tho deal, threatens an umiBtial basoball tan gle. The shrine of tho rose, tho noblest flower that blooms, will bo the niecca for pilgrims from over a wldo region when the adherents of Queen Friv olity arrive in Grants Pass for the festival. Preparations for this event have been unt'er way for weeks, and much thought, patience and hard work, to Fay nothing of the expendi ture of many golden sheckels, havo been given by faithful ones who have tho best interests of this city at heart. The roso festival of 1911, barring Btormy weather, will bo ono of the most attractive events Grants Pass has yet furnished. When tho decorated automobile pa rade begins to move thero will no doubt be some thousands of Rogue River valley and Grants Pass people lining tho long blocks. Young Man Dies. Francis, son of Superintendent and Mrs. William Rolfo of tho Burrcl or chards, died nt 8 o'clock Monday morning at tho home, three miles south of Medford, of a complication of diseases. Ho was 18 years and 10 months old and was born In Wat sonvllle, Cal., August 30, 1892. Tho funeral will be held from tho residence at 4 p. m. Tuesday. Other particulars later.
