Col lins in Sums vulley was the scene of u very happy family reunion at which Mrs. M. E. Collins of this city had the pleasure of meeting with her live boiib, one daughter and their families. There were 32 sons, daughters-in-law and giandchildren pres ent. The reunion was in honor of the hirthday of J. C. Collins, which fell on the seventh, and Mrb. S. C. Collins' hirthday which fulls on the twentieth. i Of the oiiginal family there weie fie sons, J. C. Collins, Benjamin M Collins of Jacksonville, U. S. Collins of this and II. C. Collins of this city and Mrs. Elmer Keyes, an adopted daughter, present, aside from S. C Collins, at whoso home the reunion was held. All of the children are married and have families so that the gathering included '.V2 people. As was to bo expected u most en joyable lime followed. A like gath ering is planned for next year. U. S Collins is at present the superin tendent of the Medford city schools while Benjamin M. served several tenns as city recorder resigning that position to take up the duties as cash ier of the Jacksonville bank. CHURCH CONTRACT GIVEN TO W Work on Excavating Basement for New Methodist Episcopal Church is to Start in the Immediate Future Will Cost $30,000. Alfred Ivey, who has the contracts for the erection of the Jackson Boul evard and the Queen Anne schools, has been awarded a contract tor the excavation of the basement of the new Methodist Episcopal church which is to bo erected this summer at a cost of .$:iO,000. The plans for tho superstructure have not as jet been definitely decided upon. The woik of excavating for the basement which is to be nearly 100 feet squaie, will start in the imme diate future. Mr. hey states that he will rush the work and have the excavating done in a shoit time.
