PAGE THREW MM GRANTS PASS TO MEET MEDFORD Debate Between High Schools Is Scheduled for April 15 Will Dis cuss Conservation of Natural Resources. On April 15 the Grunts Pass high Kcihuul nml this Hertford high school will debute for the championship of Southern Oregon. The question to be debated is: Uesolvo dthat National conservation of national resources is profcrablo to state. Grants Pnss stated that the de bate was to bo held in Hedford, when challenged by this school, but reserv ed the right to pick the question and Mli't tlm side of the nuestion. The local high school was angered by this unsportsman like attitude and wrote saying: "Hedford is no train ing school for Grants Pnss." The Grants Pnss debaters sent back word that they would choose tho question, Hedford to have choice of sides. Tho local team selected the nega tive side of the question and arc working faithfully on the subject matter. Huch data has been secur ed from Salem as this is a question of national importance. Hedford lias challenged Klamath Falls for a debato and they accept ed. Afterward they were defeated by Grants Pass and the team got "cold feet" and broke off negotia tion with Hertford. Tho local debating team is com posed of, Albert Howell, Clias. Prim and Hay Compton. Hr. Howell will have the rebuttal.
