An ordinance declaring the assess ment on the property benefited for the cost of Inylng n 4-lnch water main on Almond street from East Main street to south end of street and di recting the recorder to enter a state ment thereof In the water main lien docket. The city of Medford doth ordain as follews: Section 1. Whereas, the city coun cil did heretofore, by resolution, de clare Its Intention to lay a 4-lnch wa ter main on Almond street from East Main street to south end of street and to assess the cost thereof on the prop erty fronting on said portion of said street In proportion to the frontage of said property, and fix n time and place for hearing protests against the laying of said water main on said part of said street and the assessment of the cost thereof as aforesaid; And whereas, said resolution was duly published and posted as requir ed by section 116 of the charter of said city; And whereas, u meeting of the council was held at the time and, place fixed by said resolution, for the purpose of considering any such pro tests, but no protests woro at said time, or at any other time, made to or received by the council to Bald laying of said water main or tho as sessment of the cost thereof as afore said, and said council having consid ered the matter, and deeming that said water main waa and Is of mate rial benefit to said city, and that all property to be assessed therefor would bo benefited thereby to the oxtont of tho probable amount of the respective assessments to bo levied against said property did order said main laid; And whereas, tho cost of said water main has been and hereby Is deter mined to bo tho sum of $901.15; Now, therefore, it Is hereby fur ther determined that the proportion ate share of tho cost of laying said water main of each parcel of proper ty fronting on said portion of said street Is tho amount set opposite tho Inunvliittnn nf Pnrll narcel Of land below, and that each piece or parcel of land Is benefited by the laying of said water main to tho full extent of tho amount so set opposite tho des cription of the same, and that tho re spective amounts represent tho pro portional benefits of said water main to said respective parcels of land, and also tho proportional frontage there of on said street, and the council does hereby declare each of tho jarccls of property described below to be as sessed and each of tho same horeby Is assessed the amount sot opposite each description for tho cost of lay ing said water main.
