JUNEAU, Alaska, March 10. With the temperature below zero, the citizens of Douglas City, on an island across the bay from Juneau aro today fighting n fierce fire that threatened at daybreak to completely wlpo out tho city. There aro more than 4000 people in the city, 2000 being cm ployed in tho famous Treadwoll gold mines. A high wind is raging across the channel and no help can be sent from this city until tho storm abates. All of tho mines were closed down today, tho men working With the vol unteer firemen to hold down the fire.
