MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE, 3IEDFOBD, OREGON, THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 1911. PAGE SEVEN I i t-I CRANE IS TAFTS WHIP IN SENATE IFTIl President Instructs Massachusetts Man to Push Campaign for Reci procity to the LimitPresident Hushed Clark's Speech. WASHINGTON, D. C, Feb. 10. President Tnft todoy chose Senator Murray Crane of Massachusetts v executive whip for the senate and instructed him to push the campaign for reciprocity to the limit. Crane, it is said. lias been told to approach other senators who have hills pend ing and ask them to step aside with their measures in order to let the rec iprocity bill pass. The president todny is endeavoring to assure Canadians that Champ Clark"s annexation speech was un important, but the reported excited repudiation of the sentiment in Can ada, and England, it is believed hero, makes the success of the Taft plun for free trade at least less probable that, it was. The standpat element in congress is hugely tickled over what is admit ted to be a grave blunder on Clark'. part, and are bending every effort to make the situation still more disagreeable. Tho report that tho missing girl had been found started because Marjorle Arnold, 'Dorothy's sister, visited Dr. Arnold here yesterday." Rebels Raid Plant. WASHINGTON, D.
