Two lots of extra choice California steers brought respectively $7.50 and $0.90, but the general tone of the cattle market was quielox' and buy em showed a tendency to discrimi nate moro closely between the dif ferent grades -of ferud. Good steers are' quoted as steady to strong at $0.30 to $0.73; the cow 'market Is about the same as quoted heretofore.
