Freeman of Peyton met nt the Sunnyside last Saturday evening rather unexpect edly, Mrs. P. havinjr come out on the Entfe Point and Peyton stage for the purpose of Roinp to Medford to meet her husband, and he came out on tho train on his way lo go up to Peyton' that night to see her, as he had heard that she was indisposed, and just as ho was preparing to start for Peyton he learned that she was at the Sunnyside, so came over, and they remained until Tuesday and the gang that is boarding at the Sunnyside, spoke for boprd for ten more men, making a gaug of 24. There were 43 stayed here Monday night, and we had 33 horses in and around the barn to feed. So the readers of the Mail Tribune will seo that there is something doing at Eagle Point. Mr. Bosebaugh, business manager of the firm of Hutchison & Lurasden, and young Mr. Lumsdcn, came out Mondnv in their onto, called for din ner nnd went on their way, but I wns so busy that 1 only had time to say "Howdy" and they were gone. Mrs. Levi Murphy of Ashland came out Sunday evening with her son, Orin, in his auto to pay Mrs. Howlett a visit, They are oldtime friends of long ago. Mrs. A. N. Thomas, another oldtimo friend to the two, by special invitation, called and spent tho day Monday with Mrb, nowlett and Mrs. Murphy. We lmo all been acquainted for the Inst 40 years, Jimmio Duggnn, one of our pros erous farmers, is hauling lumber to juild a new house. Tho railroad company has moved the steam shovel onto the north side of Butte creek and it is working on tho hill just nprth of the depot. The compnny aro rushing tho work along as fast as they can.
