PHONE MAIN 571. Night Officers Kiucaid and Atwell investigated the box cars and lumber yards Fridnv night, and their total catch was eight hoboes who had been making a practice of sleeping there in. The bunch was taken to the city jail and later a fellow who imagined ho was beinr chased by enemies was taken from a Main-street rooming house nnd thrown in. That made 11 men in tho two cells of the jail. The accommodations were somewhat crowded, but the bunch seemed to get along in a pleasant fashion. Pour of tho eight were sent out on the P. & E. and the others made their way north. MMtfnfl of the W. C. T. U. The W. C. T. U. held a very en thusiastie meeting Friday afternoon at the Baptist church. The roll call showed a membership of 165. Ow ing to the fact that she will leave the city in the near future, Mrs. C. J. JCzer, the secretary, tendered her resignation. Of necessity this was accepted, though wo much regret that wo are so soon to lose such an active and capable worker. Mrs. Price was elected to fill this vacancy. Mrs. Lozier announced that she ex pects to bo in the east during Juno attending a meeting of tho American Woman's league, and that Mrs. A. A.
