It will prove the class of citizen you are, as it proves the class of city Med ford is. The road will mean a tourist travel of from 25,000 to 50,000 a year through Medford. It will mean the expen diture of millions by the government in beautifying the park. It will mean to Oregon what the Yosemite means to California. The supreme court's failure is Medford's opportunity. Help Medford grasp it. GARNETT-COREY HARDWARE COMPANY Near-sighted, indeed, is the local business man who cannot see the advantages to be derived from the building of a big highway to Crater Lake especially when it is considered from a purely business standpoint. It is a mat ter of much gratification to know that in Medford there are so few who have failed to recognize and grasp the opportunity offered. But the myopic few should reflect for an instant on the extraordinary movement from all over the country to California during the past thirty veal's, "where the have the attraction of one of the greatest and . most beautiful valleys in the world the Yosemite. This movement has been for the greater part in the' shape of tourist excursions, simUar to the throngs migrat-! ing yearly to southern Europe. However, they differ in 1 one respect visiting Europe they are tourists pure audi simple; while those who have visited California have suc cumbed to the climatic, scenic and other charms of the state. They have remained to build mighty cities, to plant countless orange groves, and to force the Bear state to tiid tore when compared with her sisters of the coast. With tlie construction of a boulevard to wonderful Crater Lake, Oregon will contain a magnet that will at tract a vast army from all portions of the United States yes, from all parts of the civilized globe. In the past tnere nas been a constant migration to Oregon of those who came to better their condition financially but this evolution has been, and ever will be, a slow and painful T--.i. ia t. - j j.ii ujjuruuuu. .dul uiusu who come ior aesineuc reasons are cultivated, well-to-do, and often wealthy. It is a pleasure to watch the toast become crisp and brown, and then re move it from the G. E. Radiant Toaster at the precise moment it is done The General Electric Radiant Toaster produces crisp, ficticious toast, on the dining room table. It makes toast by radiant heat rthe correct way. The center of the bread becomes heated before the outside is browned over, thus allowing the necessary chemical changes to take place, without which toast is soggy in the middle and hard on the outside. The General Electric Radiant Toaster lightens breakfast tasks and quickly pays for itself by saving time and bread. Come and see a demonstration of this electrical convenience.
