KIRKSVILLE, Mo., Fell. 20.--MrH. Alum Vaughn, widow oC Prof. J. T. Vaughn, who died of strychnine poisoning in October, wuh arrested for complicity in the death of her liilHhand today. Dr. JnmoHll. Hull of Monroo Cit.t probably will bo rearrested Monday on nn indictment charging him with i having murdered Vaughn. Hull wax first arrested Thursday and was re leased on ijwTiOQ bnil. Both Mrs. Vaughn and Hull wore released under bonds today. Tho relatives of Mrs. Vaughn, who are wealthy, bad pre pared to give bail aggregating a mil lion dollars. Owing to the prominence of Mrs. Vaughn, however, Prosecutor IWi gcr was of the opinion that a large bond would not bo necessary to as sure her appearance in court. As a result sho was given her liberty on a $25,000 bond. According to tho renort of a spe cial grand jury which investigated Professor Vaughn's death, made public today, Vaughn died of dry strychnine poisoning. Mrs. A'ntighn carno to Kirksville voluntarily to accept service of the warrant. At first she appeared to be in excellent spirits, and showed no indications of being worried because of the serious charge against her. When sho was called to tho bar, however, and tho charge was form ally rend to her, sho collapsed and wept violently. The realization of her predicament seemed suddenly to overwhelm her.
