. v ' ',) Ky, lit Our Policy Explained TJJM MIlDKOKl) MAIL TUIHrMC. M!:'K)K" ( Honesty in a commercial sense, means to offer good values at fair prices and to avoid any misrepresentations of same. We do not consider it "on the square" to convey a misleading impression to the prospective buy er rogarding tho original and regular value of our goods. The common unloading sales method to mark a $13.60 overcoat at $25.00 and reduce same againto its original price a few days later, in order to brag about tho extraordinary advantages thus offered, can never find a footing in our store. We vastly prefer to offer tho samo sterling values at the same low prices always and all the time, rather than make use of other "clover" and ruthless methods. It is furthor vory easy to proclaim that goods have been reduced below cost, just to secure your valua ble patronage. It is unfortunately still easier to find willing believers of such "rot." A merchant may reduce his profits to a minimum, but his business is not to sell goods at a loss. We, therefore, safeguard our custo mers by our honest prices. Samo are always low and fair because we believe in mutual advantage and do not want to "hog" all the profits. When a special occasion arises we are moreover perfectly willing to cut down our profits still more. This is why we can now offer you unexceled inducements in our Ladies' Dress and Men's Suit Department Wo shall not mention any prices in this ad because such are powerless to represent our splendid values. Besides, we want you to go all over town and carefully compare our goods. You shall be sole judge whether it really pays to give the BIG STORE your preference.
