More tbim a score of Moros, six members of the constabulary, four porters nnd one policcrann were killed in a savage battle between a band of Moros nnd the constabulary in Mindanao, ac cording to a report thtn reached here today. The fight, according to the advices, occurred Sunday near Mount Malin dnng. General Pershing immediately dispatched a company of Philippine scouts to reinforce the constabulary in the'troubled region. NEIL DELEGATE TO Governor Benson Appoints County Judge as Delegate to Special Convention. County Judge Neil has been ap pointed by Governor Benson as one of the delegates from Oregon to the National Good Rads congress to be held at Peoria, Kan., December 14 nnd 25. This congress, is composed of the principal advocfltesof good roads of the United States, and the subjects to be discussed there are those which nppeal to the homebuilder and in vestor in a developing country such as the Rogue River valley is. Judge Neil, owing to the fact that the meeting of both the circuit and county courts are set for the same dates as those of the congress, will not be able to attend. Tn n driving snowstorm yesterday afternoon Medford High School cinched the football championship of Southern Oregon by defeating Grants Pass High School by n score of G to 0. Although the first game was a scoreless one, it was decidedly in Medford'6 favor and the opposing team was made up of the players from two schools. On, n Frozen Field.
