George Wurster, of the Aurora Meat Market, unwittingly started the best 1916 joke that has appeared since Oregon followed in the wake of Kansas. One day last week he dropped into the Wurtzel Rathskeller next door and requested the polite attendant to give him some of the “ rough stuff.’’ He stowed away the exhilarating (?) bev erage, smacked his lips and departed hence. There happened to be two traveling men sitting at a nearby card table, one of whom got an earful of the transac tion at the bar. Undoubtedly he had visions of having landed on an oasis in the arid, barren waste. He briskly ap proached the mahogany and ordered up a round of that "rough stuff.” He was the first to get outside the “ life saver,” he awaited results, then lamped his partner. “ Hell,” he said, " it’s only cider!” Aurora Rod & Gun Club Shoot many satisfied shippers mentioned in for the unexpired term of Paul Perkett, our ad. who has moved from the district.
