Id the matter of the application of Nortwesteru Consolidated Mining and Lumber company for patent to the Colorado and Gould and Curry Lodes, Mineral Survey No. 500. NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR UNITED STATES PATENT. Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of Chapter Six, of Title Thirty-two of the Revised Statutes of the United States, the Northwestern Consolidated Mining and Lumber company, whose postoffloe address is Seattle, Washington, h, about to make application for patent fot '2626.0 feet of the "Colorado and "Gould and Curry Lodes," bearing gold, silver and other precious metals and minerals, with surface ground 600 feet in width, said lodes being situated In township eight (8) south, ruuge thirty-seven (37) east (not subdivided), situated in no organized mining dhtriot, in the cnuuty of Baker, state of Oregon, said lodes being more particualrly described by the plat herewith- posted and designated by the field notes on file in the La Grande, Oregon, United State land office, as Mineral Survey No. GOO, the magnetic variation of said nurvey being 30 degrees, 25 to 21 minutes east, said "Colorado" and "Gould and Curry" lodes beiug more par tioularly described as follows, to-wit: Commencing at comer No. 1 of said "Gould and Curry" lode, at a point more particularly described in said field notes, whence United States Mineral Monument No 2. bears south 40 degrees 31 minutes east 650.5 feet; thence north 34 degrees 15 minutes east 300 feet to corner No 2. of said "Gould and Curry" lode; thence north 10 degrees 21 minutes west 300 feet to corner No. 3 of said "Gould and Curry" lode, tbeuce south 60 degrees 22 minutes wet 1500 feet to corner No. 4 of said "Gould and Curry" lode; thence south 10 degrees 21 minutes east 564.8 feet to corner No. 5 of said "Gould aud Curry" lode, whence United States Mineial Monument No. 2 bears north 88 degrees 35 miuutes east 161.63 feet; thence north 65 degrees 30 minutes east 1304.8 feet to oorner No. 1 of said "Gould and Curry" lode, the place of beginning, all according to said Mineral Survey 500. Also beginning at Corner No. 1 of said "Colorado" lode, which is identical with corner No. 5 of said "Gould and Curry" lode, acording to said Mineral Survey No. 500, whence United States Mineral Monu ment No. 2 bears north 88 degrees 35 minutes east 1616.3 feet; tbenoe north 10 degrees 21 minutes west 564.8 feet to oorner No. 2 of said "Colorado" lode, wbioh is identical with oorner No. 4 of said "Gould and Curry" lode; thence south 71 degrees 30 minute west 112.6 feet to corner No. 3 of said "Colorado" lode; thence south 10 degrees 21 minutes east 600 feet to corner No. 4 of said "Colorado" lode; thence north 60 degrees 53 minutes east 11323.2 feet to said oorner No. 1 of said "Colorado" lode, and containing a net area, after exoludlng the area in conflict with the Majestic lode, Miueral Survey No. 423 of 14-100 of an acre of 31.76 acres, all accord ing to said Mineral Survey No. 500, and forming a portion of township eight (8) south range thirty-seven (37) east of the Wilamette meridian, in Baker county, Oregon, the ameud ed location notice of said "Gould" and Curry" lode beiug recorded March 17th, 1902 at page 634 of Volume R. of the public records of quartz mining claim location notices of Baker county, Oregon and the amended location notice of said 'Colorado" lode beiug recorded March 17th 1902 at page 635 of Baid Volume R. of said records. The adjoiulug olliims to said "Colorado" and "Gould aud Curry" claims are tho "Yankee Jim" Mineral Survey No. 490, which adjoins said "Gould and Curry" lode ou the oast and the "Majeitio" claim, Mineral Survey No. 423, which adjoins and con fliots with said "Colorado" claim on the north.
