He came in on the Gasuo and was climbing a ladder to get up on the wharf when he missed his hold and fell back waul, striking on the top of his head aud cutting quite a gash. He took au axe and a hammer to icpair the fence, and Mid he would bc back iu au hour or no. As lie diil not return Kcaieh was instituted and about five o'clock the body was found by his mjii, John. Fiom the surroundings, it was evident that Mr. Yakam had tried to head the bull, to drive him out, when the animal had chargee1 him. The bull was 11 two-yeur-old with sharp horns, and he goied his victim once in the lower part of the abdomen. Mr. Voaknui then .untie his way into some brush near by an-1 when found win; iu a kneeling X)stute with his back against a log, the body being not yet cold. Deceased was born iu Illinois and was 49 years of age. He came to this country with his parents iu 1853 or 4. For many years he has resided on his farm on Coo.s river, where he has reaped the reward of Ins energy and l'ood ittduemciit. He was highly respected by nil. He leaves a willow, formerly Miss Alice Noah, three daughters and one mm, Grace, John, Mary and Marian, the two latter being twins, all well grown. His aged mother, Mrs. Lydia Yoakaiu, and several brothers and sisters also survive him. The funeral took place on Coos river Wednesday.
