Booth, candidate for the Republican nomination for United States Senator, is meeting with a hearty reception on his travels about the state cn a get-acquainted tour. This is good news, as it indicates that the people of the state are at last beginning to realize what we Want at Washington is no': a non partisan who voted with the Democrats on a tariff measure, which did incalculable damage to Oregon producers, but a brainy, able and straightforward man of the Booth type, who stands for Republican principle on the tar iff and other important questions. Mrs. Ja"k Gribblo of Portland has been visiting with her lister, Mrs. John Peterson, and rela tives, the last week.
