The Times-Herald hopes the voters of Burns will read the or dinance and instructions in this issue regarding the proposed special election on bonding for water, sewer and light purposes. The commendable plan of "working with the customer" in every way consistent with sound banking methods continues to at tract desirable business accounts to the Harney County National Bank of this City. This popular institution believes that the growth of the depositor means the growth of the bank. The Harney County National Bank shows an increase of resources of over $80,000.00 during the last year. Something different: "The Chimes" in live reels at Tona wama tomorrow night. It is taken from Charles Dickens novel and features some of the star actors of the present time. See it. The Times-Herald learns that a committee of the board of re gents of the Agricultural College will he here about the Kith of this month. President Kerr of the college will accompany the party. Roy Dwyer returned Thursday evening from San I'rancisco where he had been enjoying the fair. He reports a line tin)''. Mr. Dwyer is much Interested in machinery and this visit gave him an opportunity to observe all the latest models and he thoroughly enjoyed every min ute of his time. A. K. Murphy and wife are over from their home at Iron Mountain, guests at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Neil Smith. TheMurphys expect to leave in the near future for Seattle, Mr. Murphy continuing on to Alaska where he has valuable interests to look after. Chas. Faulkner is also going to Alaska to look uver the territory in the vicinity of Seward.
