Jennings, a former rexident, wax here from Sentile last week. week. i The hospital bus now been in opera tion one year, and 1 believe all will be glad to read a report of the institution. There have been 07 patients in the hospital, ranging in age from 4 to years. This <b>es not include the many minor operations done in the surgery of the hospital fur patients not in the hospital. Of these 57 cases J7 were surgical cases. O f these 57 cases 1» were over 75 years of age and of these 1» one was S7 and another x-» years of age, both sur gical cases. Of these 57 cases 5 died in the hos pital, 3 of them after having undergone operations, the other five died, 1 of con sumption, 2 of kidney and heart cum- plications, I of rheumatism complica tions, and 1 of lockjaw. Two babies were born in the hospital. Largest number of patients in the hospital at one time, 9. Everyone of the physicians in Cottage Grove and Creswell had patients in the hospital. The hospital has paid out in help and supplies to the merchants, « 3 llli.*!.'!. The hospital is equipped to give the best care to any kind of case. Any phy sician is invited to bring his cases need ing hospital care here. A patient in the hospital may employ any physician they choose. During the past year it has be.-n a great pleasure to all the physi cians of the community to work togeth er at the hospital and be of mutual help to oae another. The hospital wax started and is main tained for the purpose of giving all phv:icians of this community facilitie. to better treat and bettor cure for tneir patients.
