BEFORE Governor "Warren, of Wyoming, has returned to Cheyenne from a visit to the "Wind river reservation, -where he learned the following startling facts Two thousand Indians, occupying "Wind river reservation, just south, of the lellowstone .National part, in this territory, are actually in want, many will die of starvation before spring. Their beef ration is but three- fourths of a pound per capita, as against a pound and a half issued to each bioux. Then these Indians re ceive their meat on hoof in the fall, subject to shrinkage, which is often 50 per cent. Aud, again, tribes on this reservation one year ago agreed to waive cofiee and sugar rations if the issue of beet and flour was increased, but the only portion of the deal con summated was the withdrawal of coffee aud sugar. Their allotment of flour is insufficient, and contractors invariably delay to deliver. LOOK OUTJOR FIRE.- To Theater Owners, Mnnnscrs and Whom it Alay Concern : This is to certify that 1 havo complied tho Windsor theater in this city with tho Lind gren stationary chemical fire engines. .After examining all other systems of tiro protection, anil alter repeated tests ot the Mndxrensta tionary chemical firo engino, and upon tho re commendation of tho insurance underwrit ers, I have no hesitation in pronouncing it tho cheapest and most powerful, a3 well as ncrtcct. tiro protection lor theaters over in vented. In my opinion every thoator ard opera house in tho United States, as well as Europe, should bo equipped with theso chem ical firo engices. and thus savo tho loss of life and thousands ot dollars 111 property, Itcspo'tfully. (Signed) H. I. (IOLDY. Owner Windsor Theater, Chicago, Ills. See What a Practical Fireman Sa)s. Tacoma, Wash.. Sopt. IP, 1RSJ). To Whom it May Concern ; This is to certify that I, George A. Burbank, witnessed tho exhibition of tho Lindgren chemical engine test to-day. and a3 1 have witnessed a great many such chemical tests in Now York City, Boston, Mass., and other large cities in tho East, I bcroby stato that it was tho quickest and most satisfactory tost, and was also pronounced so by two of our conncilmen and all tho citizens present, andl will alsostato that tho timo of applying tho chemical was left entirely to mo and I did not give tho word until tho firo was well startod, for in other tests 1 have-witnessed thoy havo always put tho chemical on tho minuto the lire was started and water would answer just as well, ns thoro was nothing but tho flamo started and tho wood not charred, and 1 take great pleasuro in recommending tho '"Lind gren" as far superior to any other 'Chomical" engine on the market. iSigncd) (1EOKUK A.
