Long-Standin Blood Diseases are cured by the persevering use of Ayer'g Sarsaparilla. This medicine is an Alterative, and causes a radical change in the system. The process, in some case3, may not be quite so rapid-as in others ; but, with persistence, the result is certain, Read these testimonials : " For two years I suffered from a se vere pain in my right side, and had other troubles caused by a torpid liver and dyspepsia. After giving several medicines a fair trial without a cure, I Iiegan to take Ayer's Sarsaparilla. I was greatly benefited by the first bottle, and after taking five bottles I was com pletely cured." John Y. Benson,, 70 Lawreuce St., Lowell, Mass. Last May a large carbuncle broke out on my arm. The usual remedies had no effect and I was confined to my bed for eight weeks. A friend induced me to try Ayer's Sarsaparilla. Less than three bottles healed the sore. In all my expe rifiice with medicine, I never saw mora Wonderful Results. Another" marked effect of the use of this medicine was the strengthening of my sight." Mrs. Carrie Adams, Holly Springs, Texas. , "Liad a dry scaly humor for years, and suffered terribly ; and. as ray broth er and sister-were similarly afflicted, I presume the malady is hereditary. Last winter, Dr. Tyron, (of Fernandina, Fla.,) recommended me to take Ayer's Sarsaparilla, and continue it for a year. For five months I took it daily. I have not had a blemish upon my body for the last three months." T. E. "Wiley, 116 Chambers St., New York City. " Last fall and winter I was troubled with a dull, heavy pain-in my side. I did not notice it much at first, but it gradually grew worse until it became almost unbearable. During the lattei part of this time, disorders of the stonv ach and liver increased my troubles. I began taking.Ayer's Sarsaparilla, and, after faithfully" continuing the use oi this medicine for some months, the pais 'disappeared and I was completelj cured.". Mrs. Augusta A. "Funny thing' happened to me once," said the doctor. "I was at a little town in the western .parfc of Iowa last fall-where I had. stayed, over-night to see a friend, and' ex pected to go on to Sioux City next morning. The train was scheduled to leave at 10 o'clock, and shortly after 9, having seen that my trunk was duly checked, I decided to get my sideburns .shaved off, so strolled into a barber shop nearly opposite the station. There was only one chair in tie place, and that was run br a little fat barber. He received me cordially, worked along quite leisurely, and had one side nicely shaved when a bell began ringing furiously and a man ran along the main street yelling "Fire! Fire I" at the top of his lungs. "Without wait ing to explain or apologize, my fat friend threw down his razor -and rushed out of doors, leaving me in the chair to await -hs return. I'sat very patiently for ten ofr fifteen minutes, oruntil it jwas very near train time, and then 5 began fo grow restive. It was absolutely necessary for me to get to Sioux City that day, and there I sat with a beautiful sidewhisker on my left cheek and the right one as bare as the palm -of my hand. Fi nally I threw away the cigar I was smoking and went outside, -where sat a small lame "boy, the only creature in sight. 'Where in thunder is the bar ber?' I asked. "O, he's down ter the fire, mister, Yer see Billy's foreman o' ther hook and ladder company, an' specs ter be 'lected, phifef jti' iheir department next spring, an' he don't miss no fires, Billy don'tP' ' '". "I groaned and went back in the shops; it lacked two minutes of train time, so seizing the scissors I clipped off the left whisker as close as I could, then rushed, for the depot just as the train jpulled in. I sneaked aboard and hid in the smoker until we arrived in Sioux City, where I had the job properly finished. Nice experience, wasn't it?" A woman walked into an insurance office the other day says the Indian apolis Journal, and said she wanted the policy she held settled. The agent took it, saw it was a paid-up .policy, and told her he had no notification of the death of the man named therein. She said: "No, of course not, he only died night before last, and I guess they are just putting him in now." He told her he thought it was rather soon for a widow to be after the ife insurance before her husband was buried. "Well," she said, "we are divorced, and it's made out to me, and I learned by living in this world that when you've got busi ness to do the best way is to do it right off, and so soon as I heard of his death I came right down." The agent told her he would have to have a death certificate, and she went away. She as evidently had experi ence with the saying, "Delays are dan gerous." Impaired Circulation. DR. Some ingenious estimates of the pe cuniary value of a man have been made by. the Montreal Trade Re view: "Eor example, a bo6kkeeper receiv ing 2,000 a year. In a purely finan cial view it required $50,000 bearing 4 pei; cent interest to yield 82000 a year. If a man is worth the price he commands and men who receive sal aries are more apt to be undervalued the bookkeeper is equal" financially to the capitalist who has $50,000, which he loans out at 4 per cent, and lives on his income. But some men get much larger salaries. Let the man who received only $1,000 a year pause to consider before moaning over his hard lot, that he commands an in come on $20,000, or, perchance, $25, 000. If he persists in considering his situation unfortunate let uim ask if he would choose to be placed in the condition of some acquaintance, whom he may know and who having $25,000 at com mand is deficient of ability to secure or fill a lucrative position and one commanding honor and respect Is it not probable that the armoyances over a, safe and prudent investment for the" capital, with the chances of loss, fully equal such as are ordinarily encountered by those in responsible positions?"" The great faot which the Review seems to have overlooked is that the man wears out and dies, while the $25,000 after drawing interest for a thousand years is as good as new.
