The Time.? sum marizes fully the substance of Stan ley's discoveries, as reported to the Royal GeoEranhical society, and savs: Stanley shows the region traversed by him is probably the most extensive forest region in all Africa, resembling in many respects the tropical forest region of South America. He has definitely settled the courses of an important affluent of the Congo and its tributaries, has defined the south ern limits of the Albert Nyanza, and found that it is radically decreasing. He has all but established the fact of the existence of a separate lake to the 60uth of his own lake, discovered on his great journey across Africa, which, it will probably be found, drains into the Congo, and not into the Nile; and, no doubt, on his return Stanley will be able to tell us more of the snowy mountain rivaling the Kilimanjaro, far away to the southeast of his stand point on the west shore of the Albert Nyanza. It now seems fairly clear that the natural outlet of the region around the Albert Nyanza is not by Aruwimi, with its many rapids and al most impenetrable forest, but east ward by the Victoria Nyanza and British east Africa. THE PEOMIHED LAND. Wichita, Kan., April 19. Among other outfits for tie Oklahoma border are three wagon loads of coffins. It we know all the methods of ap proach adopted by. an enemy we are the better enabled to ward off the danger and postpone the moment when surrender" becomes inevitable. In many instances the inherent strength of the body suffices to enable it to op pose the tendency toward death. Many however have lost these forces to such an extent that there is little or no help. In other cases a little aid to the weakened Lungs will make all tho difference between sudden death and many years of useful life. Upon the first symptoms of a Cough, Cold or any tronble of the Throat or Lungs, give that old and wellknown remedy Boschee's German Syrup, a careful trial.
