Philadelphia, March 30. The Press has from New York a ru mor that Henry Villard, ex-North ern Pacific magnate, is one of the capitalists now dickering with president Garrett for the Baltimore & Ohio road. The story goes that Villard visited Garrett two weeks ago and held in the latter's face 5,000,000 in hard cash. Vil lard has been in New York several months, and it is no secret that, besides a considerable fortune of his own, he represents a sort of blind pool of Berlin capitalist?, who have as great a confidence in his ability as the original Oregon and Transcontinental blind pool. It is believed that he actually controls a good deal of cash, and that he has been looking for a promising venture for aeveral months. It is said that Mr. Villard has announced positively that he would not give as much as $175 per share for Baltimore & Ohio, and this is believed to be the real cause of the hitch in the negotia tions on the street. The fact of Mr. Villard's connection with the deal is generally believed, and some persons go so far as to say that he will be successful. Jay Gould is said to be acting with Villard. About twenty years ago I discovered a llttla sore on xny cheek, and the doctors pronounced It cancer. X have tried a number of physicians, but without receiving any permanent benefit. Among the number were one or two specialists. The medicine they applied was like fire to tha sore, causing Intense pain. I saw a statement In tho papers telling what 3. S. S. had done for others similarly afflicted. I procured some at once. Before! bad used the second bottle tha neighbors, could notice that my cancer was healing up. Sly general health had been bad for two or three years I had a hacking cough and spit blood continually. I had a severs pain In my breast. After taking six bottles ot S. S. S. my cough left mo and I grew stouter than I had been for several years. Hy cancer has healed over all but a little spot about the size of a half dime, and It Is rapidly disappear ing. I would advlso every one with cancer to give S. S. S. a fair trial. 3Iks. NANCY J. McCONAUGHEY, Ashe Grove, Tippecanoe Co., lad. Fell. ic. 155:.
