Times Lm- i coin, Nebrat-ka, special: Damage to telegraph wires lias marie the task of collecting details of the late storm in Colorado and western Nebraska vry slow :md tedious. As news comes in it fahows that the disturbance was the woist in the history, of region affected by it. 1 he storm ragea in the mountains and descended npon the plaits.' These had been dry and iree of moisture so long that dust and sand mingled with the snow in resistless blasts. Neither man nor beast could stand before the rush. This compound filled shallow cuts level full and effectually blockaded the tracks. Fortunately the cuts are shallow and snow plows were able to clear them out. The roof of the Burlington round house at Akron was blown off. West of McCook, two men were picked up dead, and another so badly frozen and exhausted that his life was despaired of. Many other fatalities are expected when reports come in from territory dis tant from railroad. As trains come in to day the passengers and train men saw cat tle in draws, buried to their heads in snow. As hardly a cow was to be seen elsewhere, it is evident that many are entirely covered. Most of those seen will perish. In fact, all except a few that can be found and dug out by the small force available for that purpose will be lost. The loss of cattle will be something appalling. The storm covered the entire range on the east side of the Rocky moun tains, from the British line to New Mexico. The eastern edge lapped into Nebraska to the Norlh Platte and McCook. East of those points no damage was done. Unless all stories are exaggerated, not less than 25 per cent, of all the cattle on the range are wiped out. fV cv vv Ot the good things of Vfc v vv this Ufc are sorrowful ly let alono on account of Dyspopsia.
