A National Need. What this nation wants is free coinage for silver. The little co terie of people who live east of the Alleghanies, and are for the most part Anglomaniacs, under the influence of England, arc 'goldites.' The great population dwelling between the Allchanics and the Mississippi, and from the lakes to the gulf, arc largely in favor of silver, while the people who dwell in the great states and territories west of the Mississippi are universally demanding it. The people cf this nation will never submit to the stoppage of the coin age of silver. They know more money is required to carry on the business of the country, and they are going to have it in a bi-metal-hc form. AYe want in the coun cils of i he nation only live men, men who have faith in the nation and people, men who have some comprehension ol our resources, men who can plan the up-building ol this great republic for the peo ples' good. A party of eastern visitors at Santa Cruz indulged in a surf bath of Christmas and had their pictures taken while thus engaged. These will be utilized for tantalizing their friends at home who will shiver over the hearth on the same day. T ryv Trifle with any Throat -J or Lunj Disease.
