On the baseball diamond, the Vikings made quick work of the Panthers, combining for a total of 25 runs and ending both games early in back-to-back shutouts, 15-0 and 10-0. Meanwhile, the Lady Vikings were able to generate 17 hits during their two-game series against the Panthers. However, 13 Siuslaw errors and a solid Gold Beach defense was too much for the Vikings to overcome. Gold Beach went on to sweep the series, 10-1 and 18-8 to end both games early on the 10-run rule. Senior Taylor Dotson went 3-for-6 on the day. Claire Waggoner was 3-for- 4 in game two with two RBIs.
