DtlAlt rfcotiT: Wo have been lo the county alliance and had such a great time, and wo must tell you unco again how glad wo are that we have an "alliance" and what a blessed pnvilego it is to belong to il. Mow dear to our hearts aro each and all the niiimbejs of the vari ous sub-alliances, and with what pride we surveyed the crowd of great, honest men v .vho came as delegates from all parts of the county. Truly the cream of tho country is ours, and we are glad and thankful that it is so. There was, however, a great, over sight in not having more ladies pres ent, but Hig creek was in the lead again mid sunt live ladies, four of whom were in at tendance and voted just Uh hard as they could. Wo (the ladies) aro thankful to the gontlunien of our lodge for giving us their votes and thereby tho privilege of attending tho county alliance. Wo did all wo could to assist them in dis charging their various, duties, and hope wo will make as useful alliance Workers as wo are successful wivus of fai mors. Wo have not had tho honor of help ing in iko the laws wo aro to proud to obuy, but wo have raised tho men and implanted within them the principles, tho integrity and nobility which makes them men, and thereby fulfilled one of (iod's commands, and our dearest and most sacred mission on this earth. Still it is within our power to givo further assistance to thorn and be truly, as Clod intended, a helpmate and an equal. Wo will bo so much better enter tained when wo got into full working order. At present wo aro ho young and so overgrown ; wo tiro weak and troubling, but soon wo will walk straight and carry our parts with dignity and honor to ourselves. Wo will havo a better, cleaner place to moot so we will not quite so much re semble a school meeting, Wo were a jolly party coming homo Mr. and Mrs. H. M. South, Mr. and Mrs. W. I). The rev olution In wiio.se staudaid four-iifths of the fanners in the United States have come within the last three years. The revolution whose political princi ples fur more than half the people of the United States havo advocated in national points. It means tho organi zation that has initiated more mem bers, in an equal time, than any other order ever organized. Tho organiza tion which has proposed changes and reform in tuule and government more advanced than any century of time before has marked out in the minds of men. It means an emancipation whose grandeur Wilberforco and Ueoehor could never have conceived. It includes brains, perseverance, ener gy and members. It is the mighty uprising of right against wrong, and iucoe.s already lies almost within her grasp. The members of tho alliunco should constantly keep in mind that this is the year for them to study and ac quaint themselves with the great is sues that aru being disoused. This is tho educational year in that respect with us, ami we must improve every opportunity to become familiar with our principles and demands, in order for them to avail us anything.
