Young 9 a.m. - A caller reported she was on U.S. Forest Service Road 21 near Heppner around noon Thursday when a silver Dodge pickup sped at her and ran her off the road and damaged the passenger side of a Forest Service vehicle. 3:04 p.m. - An 83-year-old Milton-Freewater woman crashed the vehicle she was driving into the side of a residence on Jacquelyn Street, Milton-Freewater. 4:39 p.m. - A Heppner resident asked to speak to a Morrow County sheriff’s deputy about the person who keeps feeding her dog. 5:49 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of an intoxicated female walking into trafic near Til Taylor Park, 700 S.W. Dorion Ave. 7:20 p.m. - A Pendleton woman on Northwest 10th Street told police she yelled at the driver of a black Honda sedan to slow down as he sped by her house, and he lipped her off. 10:35 p.m. - A caller told Pendleton police a female was talking to herself, stumbling, and walked into two vehicles on Southwest Third Street and ended up in the parking lot of the Horizon Project Inc., 223 S.W. Court Ave. 11:01 p.m. - A driver told Pendleton police he had to maneuver around a man with long hair covering his face who stood in the middle of the road at Northeast Second Street and Johns Lane, and the man did not move at all. SATURDAY 1:51 a.m. - A woman in Umatilla reported a relative she has not spoken with in 13 years sent her a text stating he knew she was home alone. 6:06 a.m. - A caller on North Ott Road, Hermiston, reported her neighbor’s horse keeps coming into her yard and causes damage. 8:38 a.m. - The owners of Sundown Bar & Grill, 233 S.E. Fourth St., Pendleton, reported a break-in and the theft of a computer, a video camera, and .9-mm and .22-caliber pistols. 1:10 p.m. - Pendleton ire responded to a power pole ire on Southeast First Street, Pendleton. Then at 1:53 p.m. responded to another power pole ire after a transformer blew up on Southeast 11th Street. And then at 3:24 p.m. another transformer caught ire, this time on Lindell Lane, Pendleton. 3:20 - Three males were standing on the corner at East Mill and South Broad streets, Weston, drinking “pounders” in public. 3:20 p.m. - A mother asked the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Ofice to check on the welfare of her daughter who could be a victim of domestic violence. 3:24 p.m. - A 9-1-1 caller reported a male used a bat to hit another male at West Page Avenue and South Main Street, Stanield. 6:43 p.m. - A Pilot Rock caller reported her husband is having people stalk her. 10:31 p.m. - A man was on the ground in the laundry room near the Irrigon Shell station, 300 Third St. S.E. A caller said the man was intoxicated earlier and tried to buy booze, but the business did not sell to him. SUNDAY 2:33 a.m. - An employee at Americas Best Value Inn, 201 S.W. Court Ave., Pendleton, asked police to help remove rowdy guests from two rooms. The three adults and three or four children were disrupting other guests and refused to quiet down, the worker reported 9:07 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater resident reported the theft of her political sign from the 700 block of Northeast Fifth Avenue. 12:39 p.m. - A Umatilla man reported the theft of a work bench and a leak detector and identiied the thief. The caller also said the suspect pawned the items on Main Street, Umatilla. 7:07 p.m. - Goats ran around a Pendleton man’s residence on Southwest Riverview Drive. 8:18 p.m. - A caller reported her goats escaped their pens on Southwest Houtama Road, Pendleton, either Saturday night or Sunday morning, and she heard police had the goats. ARRESTS, CITATIONS Friday •Hermiston police arrested David P. Bounxaysana, 41, of Hermiston, for theft of mislaid property, possession of metham- phetamine, felon in possession of a weapon, and carrying a concealed weapon. •Milton-Freewater police arrested Chris John Chase, 59, of 392 Raspberry Loop, No. 13, Milton-Freewater, for fourth-de- gree assault. •Pendleton police arrested Bailey Jade Harter, 27, of Pendleton, for felony fourth-degree assault and felony strangula- tion, both constituting domestic violence. •Oregon State Police arrested Mariano Lara-Cisneros, 29, of 53198 W. Ballou St., Milton-Freewater, on three warrants and for possession of methamphetamine. Saturday •Morrow County Sheriff’s Ofice arrested Christopher Allen Cooley, 33, of 242 E. Main St., No. 204, Hermiston, for unau- thorized use of a vehicle, third-degree mischief, possession of methamphetamine, and resisting arrest. •Milton-Freewater police arrested Brad James Bisconer, 35, of 212 Balm Ave., Walla Walla, for driving under the inluence of intoxicants. •Umatilla police arrested Luis Alberto Roman, 20, of 210 Klickitat Ave., Umatilla, for possession of methamphetamine Sunday •Stanield police arrested Jackie Laverne Wilson, 56, of 490 N. Harriman St., Stanield, for driving under the inluence of intoxicants and possession of methamphetamine. •Hermiston police arrested Nicolas Garcilazo, 24, no address provided, for second-degree disorderly conduct, harassment, and possession of cocaine. •Milton-Freewater police arrested Michael Joseph Locati, 26, of 183 Narcissa Place, Walla Walla, for duii. •Oregon State Police arrested a Mesa, Washington, man for driving intoxicated after he crashed late at night near Umatilla. Corrie Lynn Tipsord, 31, crashed a red Ford four-door car around 11:45 p.m. at the intersection of Interstate 82 and Interstate 84, according to Oregon State Police. He was alone in the vehicle. State police Sgt. Mark Banks took Tipsord to St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton, for treatment of an injury, then to the Umatilla County Jail on charges of driving under the inluence of intoxicants and failure to drive within a lane. State police also reported Tipsord’s breath sample showed an alcohol level at .06 percent. While that is below the legal limit of .08 percent, that does not prevent police from arresting someone for intoxicated driving. BRIEFLY Man does bridge leap after car chase LYONS, Ore. (AP) — Marion County authorities arrested a theft suspect who jumped from a bridge to avoid deputies. The sheriff’s ofice says an alarm sounded Sunday, alerting the victims that someone was stealing from their vehicle at a park. The victims and the suspect then got into a car chase toward Lyons, with the suspect iring multiple rounds at his pursuers. The bullets missed, but persuaded the victims to stop. A deputy picked up the chase, and spike strips eventually stopped the suspect’s car. The man then dropped 30 feet from a bridge into the Santiam River. He loated downriver before swimming to shore and running into the woods. Police dogs and a SWAT team arrived. The suspect — Forrest Frost of Lyons — surrendered at 1 a.m. Monday, nearly six hours after the alarm sounded. He’s charged with theft, robbery, unlawful entry in motor vehicle, unlawful use of a weapon, attempting to elude police and menacing. One killed in Old Town shooting PORTLAND (AP) — Portland police say a man died and a woman was wounded in an Old Town shooting. Sgt. Greg Stewart says the incident happened late Sunday a few streets north of West Burnside Street. The man died at the scene and the woman was taken to a hospital with an injury not considered life-threatening. Police detained a suspect — 48-year-old Thomas Dorris — near the Chevron gas station on Burnside. Early Monday, he was booked into jail on a murder charge. Pendleton La Grande May 22, 1991-June 13, 2016 September 18, 1931-June 14, 2016 Casey Kyle Riddle went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday June 13, 2016. He was born In Pendleton on May 22, 1991 to parents R. Charles Riddle and Tina Limbaugh Schro- eder. Casey attended grade school in Stanield, Pendleton and moved to Athena with his mom and sisters when he was in the fourth grade. He gained another father, grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins when his mom remarried in March 2006 to Riddle Hans Schroeder of Athena. He had a passion for sports he competed in football, track, basketball but his one true love was baseball and his beloved Boston Red Sox!! If you needed to know a stat or player he had a historical knowledge of any athlete that was phenomenal. He was a lefty and was an awesome pitcher and center ielder for the Weston-McEwen Tigerscots. He graduated from Weston-McEwen in 2010. Casey joined the East Umatilla Rural Fire District shortly after turning 18 at the end of his junior year in high school and his passion for ireighting grew every day. He did attend one term at BMCC in Pendleton but was ready to move forward with his career. When the big oil boom in North Dakota hit he packed up at the age of 20 and moved to the New Town/ Williston ND area working on the frac sites for over three years. He was a very dedicated and passionate worker. He inally decided as things were starting to dry up in North Dakota to move home in September 2015. Casey had an infectious smile and lit up any room as soon as he walked in. He often put the needs of others before his own. He loved with all his heart and would be there for his friends or family anytime they needed him. He was affectionately known as “Mr. Naughty” when one day his Aunt Cindy Limbaugh Pryor asked what he was doing and he looked at her and said “bein’ naughty!” Casey was an overprotec- tive brother and his beautiful niece Ryleigh had her unkie wrapped around her little inger as an infant, where he would often stay up all night walking her around to settle her tummy. Casey is survived by his parents Hans & Tina Schroeder of Holdman; Charlie Riddle of Irrigon. Siblings Ashleigh (niece Ryleigh) and Lexi Schroeder all of Holdman, Tatjana Schroeder of Beaverton and Zane Riddle of Irrigon. Grandparents Jim & Pati Schroeder of Apple Valley, CA; Bill & Linda Simmons of Colton; Jenny Rae of Spokane WA, Bob Riddle of Hermiston and Gary & Bev Limbaugh of Enterprise. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandma Karen Riddle of Hermiston; great-grand- parents Pat & Ruth Maier (Bampy & Granny) of Salem OR, Frank & Helen Guthrie, Wayne & Lela Limbaugh and great-great-grandma Marie Burdett all of Enterprise OR, whom were all instrumental in his upbringing. He will be truly missed by all of his family, friends, co-workers and anyone who met him.
