T-WOLVES: Continued from 1B but the fact of the matter is they had ¿ght and we didn’t.´ Baty was particularly upset with the loss in the second set that went to extra points. The Timberwolves (33-8) had the lead and a chance to put the Cardinals (14-13) away but couldn’t get it done. “We did silly things on our side of the next that just gave points away,´ Baty said. “NIC is a good team and when you give them a chance they’re going to maximize that and that’s what we did.´ With four league matches left against teams with a combined 10 NWAC East wins, Baty said the T-Wolves also missed a great chance to get in a competitive match before the NWAC Champi- onships in mid-November. “We saw this as our last big tune-up and we just slept walked right through it,´ Baty said. “It’s just frustrating to drive so far, and to do so much to get this set up, and then to come out here and not put up much ¿ght.´ The best highlight from the match was the play of libero Hannah Bailey, who was only credited with 14 digs but routinely awed those in attendance. “She got a lot of work because our blocking was pretty porous,´ Baty said. “She made some pretty big digs that wowed the crowd.´ Miah Perez led BMCC with eight kills and Klaree Hobart added six. Kristin Williams hit for a team-high .429 percentage but ¿nished with just three kills.
