The climate Is fine here. 1 stopped at Fort McDow ell, Calif-( for two days and then 850 soldiers left the fort for Camp Fre mont. J7 miles south of Frisco, near Palo. Alto. All of the Oregon boys re In my company, especially the Pendleton boys are In good spirits. 1 hall thank the good citizens of Pen dleton for the nice send-off they gave We did appreciate the crowd that was at the depot that bid us boys fare well with their glad hand. I hope that after this war the ioys of Pen dleton will get even a greater recep tion by returning. ( If any of the citi zens wish tothear from me find my address below.
