A very Interesting meeting of the farmers of Pilot Rock and vicinity was held Saturday afternoon In the I. O. . F. hall. Ways and means of growing larger crops and raising more stock were discussed. Fifteen farmer pledged themselves ' to the planting and raising of an acre of beans which will be a new crop for the farmers of this section. After the meeting; all the farmers filled out the farm sur vey blanks. ' The Blue Mountain Red cross gave a very successful May Tea last Wed nesday ' afternoon In the I. O. O. F Hail. The room was beautifully dec orated with tulips and cherry blos soms. Mrs. George G. Schlegel and Mrs. J. U. Gilllland presided at the tea tables, assisted by Mrs. Bond. Mrs ilndKFi.
