Owing to the ab sence or Mr, McCormmach from the city the report could not be verified. The property has a frontage of 90 feet on Court streets and is ISO feet deep on Johnson. ' It is understood Mr. McCormmach wishes the new garage because his business has grown too large for his present quarters, thus necessitating additional room. Tha Greek legation, in a statement Uisued here, says famine is resulting from the entente blockade of the coast of Greece. The statement follows: "The Greek legation has received information to the effect that the re sults of the blockade, of the Greek oouts enforced by the entente allies since Dec. 8. are of tKe most grue some character. Ten deaths from starvation have been reported from tne province of Jannina; one at Laur ium, 10 In Acarnanla. two in the province of prevesa, one in Enbia and one in Messina.
