A five mile tunnel through the Jura mountains from Moutlers, France, to Grenchen. Switzerland, was pierced after three years of uninterrupted work. The tunnel will shorten rail road communication between Paris and Berne and Paris and Milan. The cost of cutting the tunnel was 15,000,000.
