"All is Well That Ends Well" t T Along with dyspepsia comes nervousness, sleeplessness and gen eral ill health. Why? Because a disordered stomach does not permit the food to be assimilated and carried to the blood. On the other hand, the blood is charged with poisons which come from this disordered digestion. In turn, the nerves are not fed on (rood, red blood and we see those symptoms of nervous breakdown. It is not head work that does it, but poor stomach work. With poor thin blood the body is not protected against the attack of germs of grip bronchitis consump tion. Fortify the body now with DR. C Coates has taken a stand against the silhouette gown, and, if necessary, will issue instructions to his officers to ar rest any woman found wearing one on the streets. "It is not the intention of the ad ministration to place any curb on cit izens that will restrict their rightful privileges, but when women parade the streets in gowns of filmy nothing ness it is the duty of the police to dis courage the practice," said Commis sioner Coates. "Any unnecessary dis play of a woman's person tend3 to li centiousness. "Our wives, mothers and sisters protest at these distasteful displays, and as long as I am commissioner of public safety they will be prohibited in Spokane. If necessary I will issue an order to the police department to arrest all women guilty of undue ex posure of their persons on the streets, If it is the desire of women, of high or low standing, to wear these gowns in private, that is their affair, but when they parade fhem in public it comes within the Jurisdiction of the city officers." rur KricjiM am EHMCElLCEttSr imi .. .. , !.. More fish have beeu caught in the lakes, rivers and mountain streams of the Spokane country this season than in any previous two years, according to r. t. luinten, president of the East ern Washington Fish and Game Pro tective association. The plentiful supply of geme fish is attributed to the protective measures used to dis courage operations of the game hogs and to the fact that the states of Idaho and Washington have stocked the waters liberally the last few years. Trout and bass predominate in the catches, although many char, perch and sturgeon have been landed in the 3S lakes within 100 miles of Spo kane. The largest sturgeon was ta ken from the Kootenai river in north ern Idaho, and weighed 320 pounds. From Deer Lake, a comparatively lit tle known and seldom fished body of water 40 miles north of Spokane, was taken a 23 1-2 pound macklnaw trout, the largest one reported thus far. WALLOWA, Ore., July 31 At a recent meeting of the different lum ber companies it was unanimously agreed to exercise special vigilence for the purpose of protecting their dif ferent holdings against fire. As a re sult of this careful watchfulness, Z. A. iEpler was arrested by Deputy i Sheriff J. H. Maxwell of Wallowa, charged with incendiarism at the Geo. Palmer Lumber company. Epler set fire to one of the com pany's houses which is located in the Wallowa canyon west of town. The accused can scarcely palliate or ex cuse his offense as he was caught red handed by reputable citizens, who will appear as witnesses against him. Brought before the Justice of the peace he entered a plea of not guilty was bound over to the circuit court under $1000 bonds In default of which AUGUST WOKLD S WOUK.
