In the court of the Justice of the Peace Mon day, Elmer Taylor was fined $65 and costs for assault with a deadly wea pon upon L. E. Reynolds of Weston. Reynolds was struck over the eye by Taylor Saturday with a bottle of beer but owing to the condition of Taylor the trial was postponed. Leonard Blomgren of Weston was in Athena Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Vollmer visited friends in Dayton last week. Frank Smith of Weston was Athena Friday. Revelle Lieuallen of Adams was in Athena Friday. Earl Lieuallen of Weston, was Athena Friday. Wralker returned Satur day from Walla Walla, where she has been in the hospital for the past month. At the oratorical tryout In the Christian church Friday night the fol lowing students were chosen to repre sent the Athena school in the orator ical contest which is to be held the 27th of April: Division A, high school, Glenn Dudley; Division B, seventh and eighth grades, Ruby Ban ister; Division C, fifth and sixth grades, Savannah Smith.
