Wichita people are eating more rabbits now than ever before in the history of the city. Ac cording to reports from butcher shops there are not less than 1000 rabbits eaten In Wichita every day. The demand has been particularly brisk during the past week and the butchers are unable to supply the de mand, despite the fact that many hunters are In the fields since the re cent snowfall. Dealers In fresh meats grab up all the rabbits that are offered and are neatly always sold out before the af ternoon buyers have finished buying their supper provisions. The rabbits ell for IB cents each, regardless of Ike. Lover of rabbit meat claim that a rabbit furnishes more and choicer meat for the money than any other animal on the market. There are peculiarities of taste among the rabbit fanciers, according to the dealers. Cottontails sell more readily on the Wichita market than do the Jack rabbits. There is more meat in a Jack rabbit, but It is coars er in quality than the flesh of the cottontail and most Wichita house wives seem to prefer taking the smaller animal at the same price. A great many Kansas rabbits are shipped to the eastern cities. The de mand in the east Is for Jack rabbits. Dealers Bay that this Is due to the fact that eastern consumers have not had their tastes educated to that point where they can appreciate the superior quality of the little bunnies. Some farmers in this vicinity have been taking advantage of the bad weather and the consequent lull In farm work and have gotten out their dogs and guns. As a result,, many shipments of rabbits are being re ceived from the small towns sur rounding Wichita. "OITICIAX" WA.4 A BURGLAR Drugged Woman While Testing Her Eye and Then Looted Home. Red Bank, N. The Kind You Hate Always Bought Bears this Signature Hffl5 THE SYSTEM OF CATARRH Catarrh is a blood disease which causes a peneral inflammation of the inner linings or mucous membranes of the body. The diseasing of these delicate surfaces and tissues produces alt the well known symptoms of the trouble, such as ringing noises in the head and ears, tight, etuily feeling m the nose, pains above the eyes, irritation of the throat, sometimes slight fever, and a general feeling of weakness and ill health. Even the lungs become affected by the continual passage of impure blood through them, ana there is danger of consumption if the disease is allowed to remain in the system. S. S. S. cures Catarrh because it purifies the blood. It goes into the circulation and-removes every particle of the catarrhal matter, making thi3 vital fluid pure, rich and healthy. Then the inflamed membranes begin to heal, every symptom disappears, the constitution is built up and health restored. S. S. S. rids the system of catarrh by attacking the trouble at its head and entirely removing the cause from the blood, thus making a perma nent and lasting cure. S. S. S. is made entirely from health-giving roots, herbs and barks, and for this reason is an especially safe and desirable medicine. Rnnk on Catarrh and nnv medical advice free to all who write.
