Totals for the day were 632 head compared with 518 last Monday. Market for cattle Is still feeling the effects of the former liberal offerings and the demand for meats during the holiday Is expected to curtail the call somewhat . Select steers $ 5. Total offerings in the swine divis ion were 700 head, and all came from the home territory. Determination of Pacific northwest packers to cut out further shipments from the Missouri river section comes at a time when there Is the greatest offering of home stuff. Bad reports of the winter sown grain are coming from Kansas but these had no effect upon the trade.
