Vernon, Sabbath school missionary of the Pendleton presby tery, btopped off in Pendleton between trains last evening en route to his home in Milton from Crook and -Wasco counties, where he has been organ izing Sabbath schools. The Paris correspondent of the London Standard says that Mme Sarah Bernhardt Is shortly to marry Lou Tellegen, a Flemish actor, who Is a member of her company. Tel legen is twenty-six years old. He was a subordinate member of hor com pany during her tour in America last year. Mme. Bernhardt, who is now in the sixty-eighth year of her perpetual youth, has long been a widow and was only a Bhort time wed. In 1SS2 she married Jacques Damala, a Greek actor In her company In London, but very soon divorced him. Damala died In 1889. The famous actress Is al ready a great-grandmother.
