Kansas City, Mo. Her pet cow, "Bossy," saved the life of Mrs. Kate Vermillion, when she was attacked on her farm at Old Fibler, by another cow in the herd, with which the val orous "Bossy" was on bad terms. "Bossy" was in another part of the clover field when the bad cow of the flock. "Honey Dew," began to trample and gore Mrs. Vermission. The good cow came on the run, mooing angrily, and it jumped at the" bad cow, full tilt and butted and trample! it, while the woman crawled away. She was dangerously injured but will recover. lr. Henderson Back from Canada. t Dr. T. M.- Henderson returned this morning from, a month's visit at his ' farm in Alberta and reports condi tions fine in the northwest country. II V&olivi nnmn I W HOME Graham showed 40 animals on the stage at once, including a black dog, a white angora and an ordinary gray cat, and all sorts of rats. The rats and cats perform wonder fully on a tight wire strung across the stage. One rat goes over this . wire on four legs, another tat on three les, and another rat on two leSs. The biggest part of the act is v.hcre Graham puts a number of rats til Intervals on the tight wire, with the white cat in the center, and then the gray cat jumps over each rat and the other cat in turn. Not a rat drop ped off, and the two cats acted finely. The Roma Duo delighted the au dience with their high class sing ing. They made a deciJed hit in the prison scene from the grand opera. "VI Trovatore." The Glowworm and Rise song were sung beautifully. Hughes & Dunn are very comical in their Gernnin comedy, their imi tation whistling acts are Very good.
