McCoy of 3029 Steiner street from rough treatment at the hands of highway men at Union and Stockton streets. Three men who appeared to be Mex icans held him up apd robbed him of $22. McCoy spoke to them in Span ish when they were about' to beat him. As they left one of them re marked: "It's lucky for you that you spoke Spanish to us."
