Marquis attended the Round-Up in Pendleton Saturday. Mrs: L. M. Watrus went to the Hound-Up Saturday and returned to her home la Pomeroy after spending the past month with her daughter Mrs. E. O. With only nominal offerings of hogs in the North Portland yaids over Sunday, the swine trade was rather oulet this morning. Total offerings were but 88 head, and 81 of these went at $8, the former high mark, while seven head, somewhat heavier sold at $7.25.. The toppers averaged 228 pounds this morning. At Chicago there was a weaker tone In the cattle trade, and prices were down 10c from Saturday. At South Omaha hogs were steady to strong, with tops at $6.90. The only -shippers of hogs to North Portland today was W. B. Kurtz, trie regular, who had a load in from The Dalles.
