LARAMORE TELLS JROUBLES Udy In Goodwater Describes Her Distressing Experience and Tells How She Was " Finally Relieved. Ooodwater, Mo. ''Ever since I wu a little girl," says Mrs. Riley Laramore, "I wu a great sufferer from dyspepsia. I suffered misery after eating, and had . terrible heartburn. I thought I had to suffer this way as long as 1 lived, but when I began to take Thedford's Black-Draught, In small doses, every night, the heartburn was all gone in a few days, and I could eat without distress. I took two small packages in all, and although that was some time ago, the dyspepsia has not returned. I speak a good word for Thedford's Black-Draught whenever I have the op portunity." If eating causes distress, we urge you to try Thedford's Black-Draught. It cleanses the system, helps the stomach to digest its food, regulates the bowels, and stimulates the liver. It acts gently and is without bad after effects. Try it. Price 25c. Mukn Wur on. lljnclnllii. New Orleans, May 21. A statewide movement having for Its abject tho destruction of the water hyacinth has been inaugurated In Louisiana. It Is declared that the water hyacinth is rapidly taking complete possession of the Inland rivers and lakes of the 1 1 state, rendering the streams useless for navigation and drainage and de stroying the fish which were formerly abundant in these waters. Week. (From Tuesday's Journal.) Two loads of the best offerings of grass cattle today brought $6.65 this afternoon at North Portland while the cutouts sold at $6 to $6.25. The lot was not weighed until lato In the af ternoon. Tho best stuff averaged about 1176 pounds. Tho first grass cattle of the season came forward into the local yards in good condition today. Tho shipment was from Cault, Cat., and constated of 15 loads. The cuttle market in general is low er und prices are down from 15 to 25c from yesterday, with a much weaker feeling existing, us a result of thu heav'er shipments to North Port land. On account of the more favorable market that has ruled hero than at eastern and middle west centers, Mon tana continues to unload huge sup plies on the Portland trade. There were further receipts of 5 loads from there today. . Huge supplies have not been the only case of the drop in prices here. The formal opening of the grass cat tle season has perhaps added more weight to values than any other cause. As long as packers can get grass stuff of quality they will offer little more fur better fed stuff and there fore the price of hay cattle is made confirm to the price available for grass stock. Hor Market I'jisler. While the receipts of hogs In the North Portland yards today consisted principally of China fate, the general trend of the trade was not so good as Inst week. This change in condition is due to the added weakness In the eastern prices. At South Omaha therj was a further loss of n nickel today which placed the tops there at $5.70 or $6.80 :o land here. This places the local price at about what it cost to bring in the Missouri river stock. At Chicago the hog market was steady today with no general change in quotations. Thompklns sold 43,000 bushels, or 43 carloads of blue stem to a Puget sound concern, the real being handled through tho Farm ers' Grain agency. The figure was not given out but Is understood to be about 85 cents f. o. b. The grain was raised on Eureka flat and was strictly No. 1. Mr. Thompklns has held fully half the grain two years, and might have sold the wheat time and again for a far better prioe than he received. A year ago last December bluestem sold ncre for more than $1 a bushel. With the sale of this large lot of eraln there remains but one other largo lot in the county. This Is on Eureka flat and is owned by Mr. Welch. He and his renter have nearly 100,000 bushels of bluestem, both their 1909 and 1910 crops. They may hold their grain over another year. There are few lots of grain in which there aro moro than 10,000 bushels. Nearly all of the holdover wheat is stored on the flat. ALBEE HAPPENINGS TOLD IN PARAGRAPHS (Special Correspondence.)
