The piercing pains of Neuralgia, which often follows a bad cold or La Grippe, are frequently almost un bearable and few medicines afford injr relief to the sufferer. I am a rural mail carrier and have been a user of the Dr. Miles medicines for years. Dr. Miles' Anti-Pain Pills can't be beaten. They are the only thing 1 have found that will relieve my neuralgia and I have tried most everything, besides medicine from the doctor. I am willing to tell anyone what the Anti-Pain Pills did for me." , , Charles Hilderbrandt,' Box 205 Woodvill. STANFIELD CATTLE TOP THE MARKET CHOICE UMATILLA COUNTY KTEEItS COMMAND I'HEMICM Many Cuttle and Sht'p But Few Hogs Appear Porkers Advancing in Chicago a'Kl Onmliu Eastern EggH for Northwest. (Thursday's Journal.) A Bhlpment of a carload of select ed cuttle from Stanfleld, Or., was sold In the North Portland yards at a premium of fully 10c over any re cent transaction. - Steers brought aB high as $6.86. There were heavy offerings of cat tle and sheep In the yards today, but only a small number of hogs put In an appearance. Cattle shipments from Utah Include 10 cars, and from Montana three curs. Then there were liberal offerings from Oregon said Idaho points. During tho morning's trade there was little change In the general live Htock situation. Good cattle contin ued In demand, but off grade quality was not sought. Sheep remain weak on account of the overloaded condi tion of the trade, this week's ship ments to date breaking all recent rec ords. Selling by sheepmen is said to be Influenced both by tho poor outfooK for prices in the Immediate future and the fact that March 1 is again tax date. Therefore the desire to un load us quickly ns possible. Among the Shlpiiers. Cattle C. F. Poultry market prices are another half cent higher today although re ceipts were quite fair this morning along the street. The advance is due to the smaller arrivals during the early part of the week. This is the day when buyers are usually tho most eager to take hold of live birds and for that rea son the shipments to produce row were quickly picked up at the ad vanced figure, The advance In poultry applies principally to chickens for geese and fhicks are unchanged and few coming forward at this time and demand Just about equal. Turkeys are not nearly so firm, especially ordinary quality. While it is quite posslblo to unload offerings of medium sized birds of quality around 25c a pound, heavy birds or 'skates" are hard to sell even ns low as 2021c. This is for dressed stock. Live turkeys of quality will sell at as good a price as dressed stock of ordinary showing. I '.astern F-g) Weaken Market, Eggs were weaker in tho local mar ket as the result of heavier offerings of fresh stock from, the cast. Many leading dealers here are receiving telegraphic advices from the east of fering the fresh candled eggs at 19 1-2 to 20c a dozen on board cars at COSTS BIT A TRIFLE TO CURE CATARRH How many readers of the East Ore gonlan know that In Inland Austral It where the mightiest of eucalyptus trees grow in abundance that there Is no consumption, catarrh or diseases of the respiratory tract. The refreshing balsam thrown out by these trees fills the air and is breathed into the lung by tho Inhao Itants and nil germ life Is destroyed. If you have catnrrh you cannot go to inland Australia except at great expense, but you can breathe right In your own home the same pleasant, soothing, healing, germ killing air you would breathe if you were living in tho eucalyptus district of AusfTal It. RETURN HOME THROUGH The Sunny South When Yon Arrange YourjjEasLern Trip Be Sure to Include Lha Sunset Route Through NEW ORLEANS, EL PASO LOS ANGELES and SAN FRANCISCO for return. It is a splendid educational journey, and at this time of tho year especially delightful because so warm and comfort able. Every Mile is through the Sunny Southland the rice and cotton fields of Louisiana and Texas, the vast ' mirage mo6es of New Mexico and Arizona, now spread with bright green, the orange groves and semi-tropic charm of Cal ifornia, miles and miles along the ocean 6hore, and several of the most interesting cities on the continent Ask your Local Railroad Agent all about it Portland or other Pacific coast points. Receipts of local eggs are increas ing and along Front street this morn ing there wag a tendency among re ceivers to take whatever price buy ers were willing to offer. While most dealers wefe asking 28c a dozen, oth ers were just as eager to clean up at 27c and it was stated that if buy ers would not accept these terms a further cut of a cent was likely. Realizing that the market was sure to range lower from this time for ward, receivers are of the opinion that they would best protect shippers by unloading with the least possible delay. While there Is always - a chance of a cold snap steadying the trade, still the chances are so remote that sellers are not Inclined to take advantage of it. MORE OFFER POTATOES. Producers Not Holding So Tight and $1.25 Is I&elng Accepted. Producers are much more inclined to offer potatoes around $1.25 for good quality but dealers are buying sparingly. The roads are still In very poor condition, making immediate de livery practically impossible in most sections. As has been forecasted in this pa per during the past 48 . hours, the price of patent flour has dropped 20c a barrel in the local market, or the first change for many months. The decline places patents at $4.95. A drop of tOc a barrel In the price of export flour was a surprise because millers had declared right along that they could not make a concession In this grade. The orient, however, has demanded the change. In view of the recent decline of silver of an amount that would aggregate about 15c a barrel gold for flour. Therefore the drop of 10c was somewhat of a com promise. Millers dropped the price of wheat at the same time as making the change In flour. They put the price from lc to 2c a bushel lower with club at 78 79c and bluestem 80 81c. Exporters on the other hand would not bid above 7Sc for club, basis track delivery tidewater, but were offering from 81c to 82c a bushel for blue stem, the latter for California ac count. Trade in course grains is very slow locally. Some No. 1 feed barley Is 1 e Ing taken around $23.60, but all the brewing Is in demand at much high er prices for eastern movement.
