May 10, Bonita. the famous beauty, In a comedy with music "Wine, Wo man and Song." During a run nf 400 consecutive nights in New York City at the Circle theater this musical comedy was received with such ap proval that it is claimed by the press agents to have exceeded in point of attendance any play that ever ap pealed there. The reason for this success Is ascribed to the fact that the authors struck a new idea in musical plays and developed it with unusual skill. It is a comedy with unique characters and unique situations as rigid ns those used by the best known writers of plays without mulc. It would be interesting If there was not a song In it. But with a plcnsant ac companiment of pleasant music, vi vacious dances and pretty girls Intro duced legitimately. It lias all the at tractive features of both musical and legitimate comedies. It Is said to be superbly mounted. and exquisitely gowned, and will be presented In our City with every detail that character ized its engagement in New York city. Bonita, the star of this musical of fering, is said to bo one of the hand somest women on the American stage. During the New York run at the same time the Actors Fund Fair was going on at the Metropolitan opera house. Bonita was the winner of a J5000 di amond star presented to her for being the most beautiful woman In the the atrical world. In this merry musical play Bonita will wear ten gowns all imported from Fiance, one In partic ular 'hat has been so much talked about In this country, is the famous Chantecler gown. Bonita had Edel of Paris make this gown for her. and will be seen In the last act. Lew Hern is still playing the role of way down east sheriff, and In the fun making line Is assisted by James Mullen. Da vid Jones, Allan Conga n and Chas. Webb. Twenty song hits all of the whistling kind are Introduced by the large and beautiful chorus. AXTI-PECOlt ATIOX LE.Uil'E. Sen Inns Organize to Stop tho Plague of Honored Adornments. Belgrade. An Anti-Decoration league has been formed In Servla to combat the ever-Increasing flood of foreign and home orders with which state functions nre accustomed to ad orn their breasts. The founder of the league, himself a much-decorated cx Mlnlstor, was inspired by the sight of his son standing before tho mirror and vainly seeking space for the latest mednl on his thickly constellated breast. The Irate father exclaimed: "Tills Is the last straw! Henceforth you and I will walk abroad as decent nun. The Antl-Decorntlon League was formed on the spot. It is growing rapidly-and the government Is already perplexed at the prospect of their clerks demanding an lner-":ie of sal ary Instead of the annual decoration which hitherto replaced It. LOOKS LIKE P.IG CHOP IN JOSEPHINE COUNTY Grants Pass, Or. The concensus of opinion among fruitgrowers of Jo sephine county and lower Rogue river valley, Is that this part of Oregon will have a bumper crop of apples, peach es and pears this season. The spring has been Ideal In every particular for a heavy crop. There were no Injur ious frosts, and tho trees are heavily set with young apples, peaches and pears For the P"t week rains have been falling and the ground Is now thoroughly moistened. Insuring a ma ture crop. A late frost Is the only thing that could Injure the crop, and this Is very unlikely.
