On tho 5th Mrs. Sarah Bennett, ago 87, who was living with hor son, J, D. Dennett, died after an illness of five days. In an ndjo, cent cottage dwelling happily to gether two aged sisters havo spent many pleasant years, looked after nnd enjoying tho loving attention of their many relatives nnd friends. The 10th, however, witnessed tho death of tho younger, Mrs. Eliza beth J. Goodrich, aged 84 years, G months. Mrs. Goodrich lost hor first husband, Andrew Coffman, dur ing tho Civil War, followed closo after by tho death of her four chil dren. Her second husband, Capt. Go',rlch. llol 23 years ago, The eventful chapter closed on tho 28th with tho death of the remaining sister, Mrs. alary A. Bunch, aged 89 years, 10', 4 months. Mrs. Bunch was tho widow of a veteran of tho Mexican and Civil Wnrs, Lt. Col. J. C. Bunch, who Is burled in Florida. Sho wus also tho mothor of ten children, eight of whom nro living. Prof. F. S. Bunch, of Walla Walla Collogo, Mrs. Allco Holt, of St. Holcna, Cal- ifornia, and Mrs. Hattlo Alroy, ofj Cad well, Idaho, could not bo with tholr mothers during her last sick ness. Tho others, Mrs. A. E. Wat kins, W. 11. Bunch, Mrs. J. D. Den nett, C. II. Bunch and Mrs. May Bright, nro residents of tho county land gavo tholr aged parent every possible attention. Besides hor eight living children, Mrs. Bunch has 38 grand children and six great grandchildren. Tho most widely known of tho family nro W. II. Bunch, who sorvod ns County Superintendent of Schools for Coos County for eight nnd ono half years, and F. S. Bunch, whoso educational and ministerial work extended to many parts of tho Northwest.
